About Us

Celestial Sea Productions is an independent film collective in Los Angeles, founded by Leilani Thompson in 2018. We write, shoot, and edit our own short films: three finished so far, with more in the works.

The crew is more than twenty strong: a writers' room, editors, and the people who keep the cameras rolling and the audience posted. Most of us found our way to film by non-traditional paths, and we like it that way.

Our mascot, Crescent the Sea Turtle, embodies our spirit: steady, purposeful, navigating vast creative oceans toward shores yet undiscovered.
